Connect with the community.
Our main hub — general chat, node help, build discussion, and coverage reports. Everyone welcome regardless of experience level.
Website source — submit PRs for new builds, doc improvements, or site features. All contributions welcome.
Every node helps.
Deploy a Node
The biggest single contribution. A rooftop node in router mode relays messages for your whole area and extends coverage for everyone on the network.
Share Your Build
Document what you built — hardware list, photos, lessons learned. It helps the next person trying something similar.
Help in Discord
Answer questions, share signal reports, troubleshoot with others. Active members make this a place worth joining for newcomers.
Improve the Docs
See something outdated? Open a GitHub PR or flag it in #website on Discord. Fresh eyes always catch things.
Keep it friendly. Keep it clean.
These apply in Discord, on the mesh network, and all community spaces.
No Politics or Religion
This network is for everyone — leave divisive topics out of community channels.
No Foul Language
Use respectful language at all times. Offensive language is not tolerated anywhere.
No SHAT Content
Sex, Hate, Alcohol, Tobacco/Drugs. Family-friendly for all ages at all times.
No Commercial Spam
No ads or unsolicited promotions. Community spaces are not a marketplace.
Legal Node Placement
Only place nodes where you have permission. No rogue installations — ever.
All-Age Appropriate
If you wouldn't say it with a kid in the room, don't say it on the mesh or in Discord.
We're part of something bigger.
Active mesh communities running across California — from the Bay Area to San Diego. We share knowledge, techniques, and a mutual interest in keeping the network growing. Listed north to south.
Bay Mesh — SF Bay Area
"The Best Mesh in the West." One of the largest CA groups, covering the Bay Area with strong infrastructure, solid docs, and an active community.
Sac Valley Mesh — Sacramento
Serving Sacramento, Yolo, and surrounding counties. Closely adjacent to our network — nodes from both groups can overlap in coverage.
Central Valley Mesh — You Are Here
Stockton, Manteca, Modesto, and Tracy as our primary coverage area. Members from Turlock, Merced, Fresno, and beyond are active in our Discord.
Visalia Mesh — Visalia Area
Sister community to the south — Visalia, Tulare, and surrounding areas. Active Discord, node map, and growing infrastructure in the southern valley.
SoCal Mesh — LA, OC & San Diego
Hundreds of nodes across Los Angeles, Orange County, Inland Empire, and San Diego. One of the most active Meshtastic communities in the entire state.
Mission Viejo Mesh — OC / Laguna
Community building mesh coverage in Mission Viejo and the Laguna area of Orange County, connecting into the broader SoCal network.
Help expand the mesh.
View Full Bounty BoardThese are open requests from the community — specific locations that would benefit from a node, or hardware we're looking to source. If you can help with any of these, reach out in Discord.
Elevated node — South Stockton
Coverage gap in south Stockton. A rooftop or elevated node here would connect several neighborhoods currently out of range.
Volunteer in Discord →Solar repeater — Rural Merced County
Looking for a solar-powered repeater node for a rural agricultural area with no power access. RAK WisBlock or similar preferred.
Volunteer in Discord →Bridge node — Fresno to Visalia
A mid-point node between Fresno and Visalia would link CVM and Visalia Mesh. Looking for a property owner or business willing to host.

Community hardware builds.
Nodes, enclosures, antennas, and experimental setups built by CVM members. Got a build to share? Submit it through GitHub or drop it in #builds on Discord.
Meetups & on-air sessions.
In-person meetups, node deployment days, on-air sessions, and workshops. All events are announced in Discord first.
